Vadso City Map Update
It has been a while since the last map update highlight and today we'd like to bring you Vadso City.
To begin, the bushes were redone for gameplay reasons. Lower in height than before, tweaked density, no longer casting shadows to blend in more and re-exported 3D model itself to fix some issues, they should hopefully be less detrimental to gameplay. Lightmaps were also optimized, reducing the large amount of textures loaded while also increasing quality in other areas. For anyone struggling with memory issues this should come as a welcome. Next up, Advance and Secure (AAS). The infamous southern route has been removed along with the island flag. Three flag routes now focus on the city and points of interest closer to center of map. Domes of Death were expanded. CAS and tanks were removed opting instead for a mix of BTR-80, BRDM-2 and MTLB on Russian side against Warrior, Scimitar, Land Rover and Panther on British side in terms of assets. June 3 Update: AAS Alternative now holds heavy assets and additional flag routes. AAS Infantry features an alternate sky setting with lower view distance. Command and Control features asset layouts identical to AAS. Skirmish and Co-Op remain unchanged. Vadso City was created by [R-DEV]pleym. Map update by [R-DEV]Outlawz7. |

The southern route was alright, provided more vareity to a big map, shame all that space is going to be unused now.

I'm interested to try no CAS change. Right of the bat tho' im not a fan of removing the dam flag, makes a lot of the map usless.
Southern route might have been a little boring for me, but you should have at least kept the dam flag. |

I must say that I'm a big fan of this inverted layouts trend that you've started with Kozelsk. Keep up the good work!

If most of the fighting will be along the coast Russian APCs will dominate that fight from the water.

Re: Vadso City Map Update
No, I got the point pretty well. We will see how often this will be played... Sure the first few weeks it might be played a couple of times because it's something new, but after that, back to the graveyard with the other +40 unplayed maps and back to 24/7 Fallujah, Saaremaa, Kashan, Khami, etc.
