Hello everyone and welcome to an audio dev blog!
It's been a while since the last time there was an audio blog. Here's a minor update to showcase some of the firing sounds you will hear in the next patch for the FG 42, M1 Garand and L4 Bren.
FG 42
Thanks to Partisan for permission to use his sounds, the FG42 firing sounds were a great replacement for the current ones which used the K98 firing sounds as a placeholder.
Additionally, the FG42 deploy and reload sounds will be updated and timed to better match the deploy and reload animations.
FG42 Firing sounds by Partisan, with indoor sound modified by me.

M1 Garand
Although the M1 Garand's firing sound was realistic, it sounded somewhat bassy like a cannon. This has been updated with new firing sounds:
L4 Bren
Lastly, the L4 Bren light machine gun. It now has indoor firing sounds to do it more justice. Currently WIP, so expect improvements.
Indoor Firing sound modified by me.

Just an update: The M1 Garand sounds have been reworked.
The original sounds didn't have enough echo and they were actually sampled from a 3rd person view. The ones for next patch are now sampled from a 1st person view and have the original PR WW2 Garand echo sound blended in along with a redone indoor firing sound.Posted 2021-06-10 at 04:38 by Arab

L4 Bren, what map is that on. Didnt know we had any British WWII troops, though it would be a good idea.
