How can I get a dedicated server for LAN???
Hello, I'm running Battlefield 2 on a small server pc as dedicated server. The point is that the server has a greate cpu but it hasn't a video output. What I like of the server is that it has greate perfomance while playing in LAN with my friends versus bots. When I start a non dedicated server on my own PC the LAG is terrible.
Now the problem is that in PR the same happens. I've seen that you must apply a license to make a dedicated server ONLINE. What about dedicated LAN servers? Is there a way to start PR as dedicated server for LAN? or should I aply for a dedicated server license? If this is the case.. what shoud i indicate in the server information section from the server license form? It's a LAN server.. so there is no public ip for it... So please help... is there a way to make PR more CMD friendly?? |

Re: How can I get a dedicated server for LAN???
Running Battlefield 2 as a dedicated server on your setup sounds ideal for reducing lag in LAN games. For Project Reality (PR), you typically need a dedicated server license for online play, but LAN servers may not require this. You can try starting PR in dedicated mode using CMD, though it may lack some user-friendly controls. If you need more robust hosting, a dedicated server from HostNoc could provide the stability and power for smoother gameplay.
