Default Installation Issues.

Hello, I was hopeing someone from this community could help me with an issue i'm having with your mod.

I downloaded both files as required, the Core and the Levels pack. I installed the Core first, followed by the Levels pack, which they both installed to Dir
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\AIX\Levels\mods\pr

After doing this, I then began trying to load the desktop shortcut from PR, which gave me a prompt box to locate my BF2.EXE file. So I located the file manually and the game began to load, which it loaded the normal Bf2, with the normal bf2 window, yet if i tried to click anything, it would crash to the desktop.

My operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium and my computer spec is
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 4024MB RAM
Hard Drive: 320 GB Total
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 768MB 8800GTX

I've tried updateing my hardware drivers, this didn't seem to help ither.

Any help is welcome

Just tried re-isntalling both files, still the same problems.

hmm...

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\AIX\Levels\mods\pr

is not the right folder for the mod

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr

is!

so when you installed you probably chose the mods folder of bf2 when you should have just let it point at the bf2 root-folder as it was

solution: uninstall PR.7 completely
and reinstall it not changing the installation path (if it points at a already valid bf2 directory)

if you have not changed the installation path during the installation please say so

also:
check this link:
Link

and don't forget to read the manual for the best gaming experience with this mod

Thank's for the replies.

I did not change the path of the installation, that was the default path it gave me when installing.

I downloaded the files from here:
Project Reality .7 (Core), Battlefield 2142 Downloads, Battlefield 2142 Release

I don't know if that's the broken download? Not sure.

Hope I can get this fixed soon,

Thank's

That download link is OK.

I believe that your PR installation just went into wrong folder (AIX mod folder).

Don't know why this happened, but try to completely uninstall PR (using add/remove programs), then manually create folder named "pr" (without"") in your ...\Battlefield 2\mods folder, then install PR 0.7 core and levels.

Hope this will help you.

Hey Makee, you solved it

I uninstalled it, created the pr folder then installed them both to it. Only problem with doing that was it created two mod folders, so i just cut them both into the same folder.

Thank's for all your help,
