New GPU
I have a radeon 5800 series, Its very meh, and am thinking about picking up a new card, preferably nvidia. Been looking at this, just want opinions, is it a huge upgrade, is it worth it, is their far better for not much more... You get it, thanks.

Re: New GPU
For $60 more, you could go with a GTX 760 or something similar. And get over 20 FPS better in BF3 than the $190 GTX 660 you linked to.
The $250 price segment is the sweet spot really as you can get the performance of the GTX 670 for relatively cheap. Best Enthusiast Graphics Cards: $180 To $290 - Best Graphics Cards For The Money: September 2013 |

And if that is your budget, the gtx650ti boost is basically a 660 with some cudas locked and it costs some less even

Re: New GPU
The HD 7870 Tahiti or the HD 7870 Gigahertz Edition is usually the optimal price/performance winner at that price point.
Depends if you put any value in the Batman Arkham game of the 2 free Silver never settle games from the AMD Radeon cards. Which means I'd probably buy the EVGA GTX 660 you posted too. |
