Why is an instance of pnkbstrA running continuously out of game.

Indeed... It's their new update, it enables people without administrative rights to play PB enabled games. Basically its designed for Vista, and now XP users can have a piece of it too.

It's installed as a service, and you can disable it. But, you need to enable it if you want to play PR. So I made a little batch file for myself, which enables the service when I start the PR.

Otherwise the process is just wasting memory there, perhaps it has some spyware features where they can take screenshots on your desktop... Or not.. Anyway, I dont WANT it in my computer.

Hehe, my friend says its a conspiracy to take control of every gamer's computer for some sort of master plan, but it seems that the continuous nature of the service makes my firwall very jumpy- thinking its spyware all the time.

It is a Spyware, its spying on us..making sure we don't do forbidden stuff
