Default [Map] Operation Barracuda

Its been a long time since any news has been posted on this map one so I'll quickly fill you in on what's been happening. As many of you know [R-DEV]Duckhunt began work on this map some time ago. However when he had to leave to begin his training for the Royal Marines he asked me if I would take over development of the map (he has recently earnt his green beret having sucessfully completed the Commando courses, so massive congratulations to him on that one!).

Since then I've been working on the map, adding new cps, new areas, expanding the island, changing the sky, adding detail etc etc. Its an interesting process because you have to try and get into the mind of the previous mapper and work out what they want to achieve and then apply your own ideas in a manner that would fit. I've had numerous discussions with Duckhunt during the time I've been working on it (about a year now) to make sure he was happy with the work. He also gave me new ideas along the way and together we've pulled it through. I've also got help from [R-DEV]Rhino who as ever is there to offer help and support to the mapping team, sorting out the object lightmaps in 3DMAX, making up some some custom statics etc.

I look forward to seeing you there soon

Don't forget to pack your suntan lotion soldier!
