"Safety" IED detonators
After seeing the new "unarmed" slot on the supply trucks, I began to think of other applications which leads me to thinking about my past accidents while placing explosives.
If there is any bit of lag while placing IEDs, you sometimes end up clicking one too many times and blowing yourself up. So my suggestion, add the detonator to the number 9 slot since Insurgents do not carry bandages. Is that possible? Would this be able to be used on bomb vehicles? |

Re: "Safety" IED detonators
I know what you're saying, but if I was placing an IED... I wouldn't have my finger on the button when I drop it.
So this could be more of a common sense / realism fix. |

Re: "Safety" IED detonators
Then again, IEDs aren't really the safest devices in real life either, you could claim the clicking was actually a malfunction of the bomb itself :P
On a more serious note - sure, if it's possible. Though I guess explosives and detonator have to be in the same slot as it was in BF2, but maybe I'm wrong. |

Re: "Safety" IED detonators
I dont think so, it would be like SL placing builds and SM building them.
And rather, when you place said IED, why not become "Unarmed" and be made to right click to switch to phone |

I don't think these things have anything to do with how explosives work. Even if you spawned an IED "Vehicle", and had another object in the inventory to "shovel" it - that would hardly work remotely without seeing it. I don't know anything in this game that can remotely be triggered except for things that use the C4-like code. | |
