i know that this shouldn't be here but it is the only way to get answers. Ok when i got my laptop the guys installed it in the backup drive. how can i copy vista onto the non backup drive. i really need your help plz

You should of been given a recovery disk aswell, If not then contact the relevant companies own tech support

i didn't get that. so i am copying and pasting it bit by bit the the real c drive. to change d drive for 250gb. then to copy vista to the 250gb. will this work :S

No, as it wont have any Registry entries, best bet is to contact the people you got the laptop off mate

kk. thanks could i install 7 onto the real c drive then boot from that? if so how do i make it boot from the real c drive. how to do put the iso file onto the d drive?

If you were going to Install win 7 then you can download the bootable iso from microsoft. But id sort your Vista problem with the laptop supplier first

i think i figured out how to get around it. since they installed it on my d drive. i can remove it and replace it. i have a 250gb one that am going to use.
