Lag Troubles while playing
Hello everyone, I have installed Project Reality and have been in a good few games now but, I always get "There is a problem with your connection" repeatedly throughout the match. To be honest I really don't think it is my Network because I'm runnning 3mb at the moment and it seems to have no lag while I'm playing xbox online.
I really think and hope it is my computer (terrible) causing the problem because I'm getting a laptop in the next few weeks so hopefully then I'll hopefully be able to play properly. My computer specs are at the bottom and I know thats one of the reasons for the "Connection Error" but I just want to confirm that if I buy a laptop with 4GB RAM and ATI graphics card that this could possibly stop the "Connection Error"? Specs: Windows XP Service Pack 2 Compaq Presario AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ 2.20GHz, 960 Mb RAM (Plus 6MB of Virtual Memory lol) 256 mb Nvidia GeForce 6150 LE Regards... |

Re: What is it?
I think the top 3 reasons for "Connection Error" are
Punk buster #1.........Uninstall/reinstall withpbsvc update with pbsetup Firewall issues #2.............. redo firewall rules. Delete old rules, create new ones or try a different firewall. Internet/network #3...........If your running Xp you can tune up your internet connection with TCP Optimizer to maximize throughput. Check out speed guides web site Click here to use their TCP/IP Analyzer You can check your ping with a free tool like Plotter Freeware 1.1 results will show if you can improve throughput. |

Re: What is it?
Thanks very much for the help, much appreciated.
I have added Project Reality.exe to the Exceptions list in my Firewall and I am going to try and use throughput aswell. Thanks, see you on the Battlefield |
