[Solved] [Win7] PR logo comes up then closes

As the title says, when I double click the PR icon the logo comes up and after about 30 seconds it closes.

No game loads up..

This is how I installed everything..

1. Battlefield 2.

2. 1.4 patch.

3. 1.4.1 patch.

4. 1.5 patch.

5. Installed PR part 1, 2 then 3.

I've had this problem on my previous computer I just can't remember what I did..

If i got u righty it?s prolly about the target of your shortcut.

e.g. i have on my target a path
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +widescreen +szx 1440 +szy 900

Are you running PR.exe and BF2.exe in XP compatibility mode and as administrator?

Or try this, you should be able to launch PR the right way: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f10...cher-beta.html

If it still crashes, there must be something else.

Try launching vanilla BF2 once, retrieving your account through that, then quit, and launch PR as normal.

Should work since you haven't launched it yet.

I am having a similar problem, patched to 1.5, installed PR and now PR and BF2 will not start...

I had this.

My ingame screen resolution and refresh rate (Mydocs/Profiles files) didn't EXACTLY match what was in the Nvidia control panel.

I had the same problem on Windows 7
Try going to your video con files.
C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default
Open the video.con file with Wordpad (as ADMIN)
Edit your setting to low and put correct screenresolution.
Something like this..

VideoSettings.setTerrainQuality 1
VideoSettings.setGeometryQuality 1
VideoSettings.setLightingQuality 1
VideoSettings.setDynamicLightingQuality 1
VideoSettings.setDynamicShadowsQuality 1
VideoSettings.setEffectsQuality 1
VideoSettings.setTextureQuality 1
VideoSettings.setTextureFilteringQuality 1
VideoSettings.setResolution 1280x1024@60Hz
VideoSettings.setAntialiasing 2Samples

Save the file and start PR.

That was the only thing I did and I launched PR like that 1 time then I quit, deleted the shortcut, went into my normal PR 0957 shortcut on my desktop and it worked!
