[?] Real life terrain
First off, yes I know there are several tutorials and I've done them BUT my problem with those tutorials is the quality of the terrain I get from it.
Does anyone know of a place where I can get real world data that is relatively accurate and that I can use to scale? As Im finding the quality of the info I've found already to be kinda crappy when its such a small area. If anyone has any ideas please send em this way.. |

Re: [?] Real life terrain
your are not going to get 2m or 4m accracy DEM data. The advantage of using DEM data is you get a pretty good base but from there, you need to clean it up manually or with a program like Geocontrol.

Re: [?] Real life terrain
I used Nasa heightmaps for my map. I found they were way more detailed then the ones from google earth. But still not like you are looking for 2 to 4m. At least not for the heightmaps I used.
