A.U.'s Attack and Transport Helicopter
I think everybody knew that BF2 Mi17 would be used for PRs A.U.
And for attack one,I think everybody expected USIs or OPKs Mi24. But I think that Stigger has made (or still making) better solution for both. Transport version of Mi8 : And attack helicopter. This would be even more better than Mi24 in my opinion, it is so old-school and crude, and fits well to poor African countries : https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f19...elicopter.html |

Mi24 looks like reasonable solution, but is there anyone who thinks that this Mi8 with rockets would do a job ? It looks like it would fit well to AU.Just my opinion.I would not start whining if you guys don't like this idea I mean, just look at it and imagine two black guys shooting Leclerc or Abrams with it : Looks great to me !!

on-topic though: I see there is indeed a blank spot at the attack chopper, which of course doens't need to be specifically an attack helicopter, but for instance just some sort of close support gunship like, for instance an upgunned mi-17. I like this idea, as indeed it fits semi-conventional, semi-modern stereotypical third-world armies quite nicely. For variety though the mi-24 could be added as well, but on other maps, showing that the U.A. is a coalition of states.

and also that is realistic.Mix of Combat Mi-8 and Mi-24 gunship would be nice solution. Because all Sub-Saharian African countries together do not have so many Mi-24s. Mi-8 is one of the most used transport helicopters in the world, lot of African countries are using it so it would be nothing unusual in case of war for them to be upgraded to gunship versions. Here are some documents about upgrading Nigerian Mi17(Mi8M)s to the combat variant: SPOTLIGHT ON THE Mi-171Sh COMBAT ? TRANSPORT HELICOPTER | Beegeagle's Blog http://beegeagle.wordpress.com/2011/...ian-air-force/ As for Mi-24 . . .I really do not know why this heli is not present in PR.

Annnnnnnnnnnndddddddddd . . . . . . ? ? ? ? ? ?
Someone thought about this ? Or people are just ignoring this post, I found great solution for AUs lack of Helo's which is at the same time made to be used by PR community yet not used by other factions. I'm really trying to be helpful, or you guys want each NATO opponent faction to use identical just reskinned vehicles ? |
