RAM upgrade
So on my laptop i have 2*4GB SO-DIMM. Elexir M2S4G64CB8HG5N-CG(http://www.elixir-memory.com/product...SODIMM-R10.PDF). I am farily poor when it comes to the inner workins of computers, but i have gathered som information as you can see.
So my question is, could i upgrade to 16GB(64-bit Windows 7)? The speed is 667MHZ, would i have to buy RAM sticks at this speed, or at a higher speed? Would it then be limited to 667MHz? Are there any options when it comes to buying the parts? Hoping for an answer to my question soon, though there might be something i missed or something that is completly wrong about my understanding |

Re: RAM upgrade
1. Your current RAM is fastest RAM your notebook can support: DDR3 1333Mhz
MSI Global GE620DX 2. Unless you have a specific need for 16GB of RAM, (Ramdrive, massive Excel Spreadsheets, Math programming, etc), there is not a lot of benefit jumping to 16GB of DDR3 1333 for your notebook. So in conclusion, I don't think it's worth the money to upgrade to 16GB of RAM. |
