Commander issues?

As a commander Im not sure how to get an unscoped/alt officer kit. I also seem unable to use the IR on the tow, I dont seem to get the option.
As an aside, it would be great if the commander could set marks for him/herself with binocs or just looking/scoping in.

You can spawn in with the alternative SL kit. You cannot request it from a crate though.

As a CO you do not get the squad como rose (default on T) so most functions that require that wont be available to you.
