Arrow PRT Campaign 11: SITREP #5 (Op. Independence, Christmas Break, PRISM Recordings)

Hello PRT Community!

The fourth battle of this campaign has been played!

In the forests and the streets of Dragon Fly, we witnessed what will likely remain the closest battle of the campaign - the battle ended at the four hour time limit with MRF clenching a one ticket victory, 88-87. Congratulations to MRF! Make sure to share your experiences in the stories from the front thread!

With this victory, MRF has claimed wins in both battles of Operation Rolling Thunder, gaining 5 points, bringing the overall score to 7-2 in MRF's favour.

The next Operation to be played will be Operation Independence! This Operation will begin with the newly added Assault on Grozny, with PDI playing as Militia against MRF as the Russian Forces. To understand the faction choice, here is an excerpt from the Campaign FAQ:
Quote:
To establish a proper faction balance in C11 it was decided to leave Russia outside the teams and to use it as a proxy faction. In the fictional world of C11, Russia is a third big player on the global battlefield, fighting for its own interests and rejecting alliances with the two teams. The team with no set faction on a map plays as Russians. Militia operates in a similar manner, and is backed by the opposite team when fighting a set faction. Kozelsk and Grozny are exceptions. On Kozelsk PDI plays as Russians while MRF plays as Militia. On Grozny MRF plays as Russians while PDI plays as Militia.
As with many other maps this campaign, both teams have an agreement to refrain from using mortars. Additionally, it was agreed to play only the inner city layouts to ensure a fierce urban firefight and make full use of the unique new scenery that [R-DEV]Ason provided us in the last patch.

Date: 16th of January 2016

With Christmas soon approaching, the Campaign will have a break in the battle cycle from Monday the 14th of December to Monday the 4th of January. During this time normal battle cycles are suspended. We hope everybody enjoys the holidays!

The C11 administration is pleased to announce that the recordings of the PRISM tool are being made available for each battle in C11! PRISM is a tool allowing real-time viewing of the map with vehicle and player positions visible for both teams simultaneously, along with the scoreboard, kill-feed and chat-feed.

The complete set can be viewed in this thread or directly on the PRT Youtube Channel.

Glad to have been a part of PRT history by playing in the Dragon Fly battle. I don't think I'll ever again play 4 hours and have it decided by one ticket! Talk about a balanced round.
