Default Blood splash effect

What happened to the blood effect when you got hit ?

I remember that every shot was continued by a exaggerated amount of blood

It got removed because it wasn't realistic, plus gives false visual hit detection. Only 50 cal shots were left in.

Problem with this kind of effect is latency and hit detection. On your screen the effect must play immediately after shot even if both you and victim has 200+ ping. Otherwise the delay would look really weird. Actual hit detection, however, happens on server end. This means that you could see blood splash effect on your screen but server says nope you missed.
