I tried all these solutions :

- installing the DX9
- Re-Installing the game (twice)
- Disabling the Firewall
- Running the prpf2.exe in windows xp service pack3 compatible mode
- In Graphic setting making the PRF2.exe high performance , and then i made it power saving , both didn't work

Compatibility mode is not needed and you can disable it. PR works fine as-is on Windows 11.

There are a couple of other things you can try.
  1. Make sure your antivirus is not blocking prbf2.exe, prlauncher.exe, or the folder where they are installed in, or your %LOCALAPPDATA%\Project Reality folder.
  2. Download d3dx9_43.dll and copy it into your C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder, overwriting the file that might already be there.
  3. Disable ASLR by opening Start -> Settings -> Privacy & security -> Windows Security -> Open Windows Security. Then open App & browser control -> Exploit protection settings -> Program settings tab. Add prbf2.exe and press Edit, then override and turn off Mandatory ASLR and Bottom-up ASLR.

As you are running Windows 11, it should have mini dumps enabled by default. Check %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps folder. If there are files named like PRBF2.exe.12345.dmp, find the one that was created when your game last crashed. Upload the file somewhere and post download link here. If you use Google Drive, remember to make the file public.

First, thanks for the reply!

I tried all the solutions you provided, and half of the problem is now fixed. Instead of freezing and then crashing, the game now only crashes when I press "Spawn." ????

After the crash, I’m seeing the following error message:

[Here’s the screenshot:](https://g.top4top.io/p_3222wu9ge1.png)

,
As for the "PRBF2.exe.12345.dmp" file, I couldn’t find it at the provided path or anywhere else on my system.

Thanks again for your help—I really appreciate it!

RendDX9Init.cpp error means that Intel does not have the best possible DirectX9 support. You could try to use dxvk instead. It translates DX9 calls to Vulkan. Download the attached dxvk.zip and extract both files from the zip to PR install folder (same folder where PRBF2.exe is). Then go to PR Launcher -> Support -> Utilis and clear shader cache before starting the game.

Thank you so much!

Everything worked flawlessly once I installed the files in the game folder, and now it’s running perfectly. I’m incredibly grateful for all the support and solutions you provided—it made all the difference. Thanks again!
