Need help with ABR-Client

Hi, to make my new rank sticky i tried to install ABR again. To my surprise it said somethin about "not able to write file for rewrite" which caused it to "exit due to a fatal error". Being a nice forumuser, i used the searchengine first, showing me a topic with the same issue :

unfortunately disabling the AV-Scan didnt help.

Also bypassing the ABR install, by editing the host file with the ip of the bf2.gamespy server didnt help.

Any help would be much appreciated.

PS : If u call me statwhore i dont give a damn. Personally i like to see results when i waste my freetime on a stupid pc game.

I rember I had this when I reinstalled it after I got windows vista
Do you have vista?
If so you need to run it in administrator mode and compatability mode for Windows XP SP2.
Im a stats whore ....ABR 4TW I dont realy care lol
(ranked about 206th on the global ABR stat! ) Sad but eh....I care not.
