Please Help Issues with PR

Hi I have just downloaded PR for the first time and it is not working, I have BF2 vannila and it is patched to the current patch as of yeesterday. I have downloaded the latest version of PR. I get a list of servors in the multiplayer section and it will load all the way to the Verifiying it will then say join game, but then it will instantly crash to the desktop.
BF2 works fine. If someone could help me, I would appreciate it greatly. Also, I am new to computer online gaming, what do I need to play Pr online?
I don't know how to put the error in here so I will type it how it looks.

Technically a line of code is not able to materialize an object or event.

You might have to reinstall PR for the missing; "missile initiation event.cpp" (the .cpp being a c++ file extension, meaning it is most likely indeed PR not BF2, so you may get away with not having to reinstall vBF2 only PR)

If you installed the incremental, next time do the full. If you installed the full try the 0.6 with incremental 0.61 patch. Be sure to fully uninstall PR before the reinstall (Start/Settings/Control Panel/Add Remove Programs)

I said might have to above ^...before you go through re-install, try waiting a few extra seconds to hit the play button, maybe it hasn't fully loaded code.

hey i went to uninstall it and it says Project Reality v.6.0.9
Does this mean i have an older version or should I still reinstall the whole thing?

My best advice, seeing as you most likely have a sort of "old" ver, I might be wrong, its late..
Anyhow, back to the point,
Remove ALL of PR, and get a fresh Dl from this site, shoud work.

Don't just use the add/remove program feature as I believe it leaves some folders intact that could be a problem.
IT looks like you DL the older version and any remaining folders from that might keep fouling you up.

Good Luck and it is worth the hassle to get it installed, it is like a totally different game from regular battlefield.

There should be an incremental patch around from 0.609 (0.6) to 0.613 (0.61). If your version says 0.609 you def. DL'ed the older version. I would try the incremental patch first.
