Game crashes after server loading

Has the title specifies, PR crashes after the server loading is complete, I run the game at a resolution of 1240x768, altough the screen res isn't the problem because I have already run it at the resolution of 1152xsomething. MY hardware specs are as followed: CPU Core 2 Duo E6750, Ram: 2gb, GPU: GeForce 8600GT and I'm running Windows XP SP2 operating system.
I have been looking around in the board and their seem to be some people with the same issue, but I haven't found any solution to my problem yet, I hope this is all the necessary information, thank you in advanced.

Have you tried running in windowed mode to get an error message? :3

I don't think you can run the game in windowed mode... can you?

To play PR in a window, right click your desktop PR shortcut. In the Target section, change "+ fullscreen 1" to "+ fullscreen 0" You will get a windowed version of the game that will[should] give you an error message if the game crashes. Screenshot and post the error message here for more assistance.

Right click the shortcut on your desktop for PR, you know that? The thing that starts the game from your desktop.

Go to the "target" line and at the very end of it there will be something that says fullscreen 1, change the 1 to a 0.

Still confused? I dont have PR installed so I cant get a SS fo you or anything, sadly.

I'm not stupid, the problem is that I use a dock to launch my games and I was trying to find the "target" line in the .exe file when it was supposed to be on a shortcut, also my OS is in a different language and you failed to mention the exact locations, I suppose you wanted right click on shortcut>properties>shortcut tab>exucute, change to exucute in windowed.

P.S: It doesn't work.

Im sure youre not an idiot, but the short responses you give dont really give me enough info to go on. When you said "Im sorry where?" all I thought of was you couldnt find the target line... or the icon on your desktop...

Same with "It doesnt work"

When asking for help,
please remember to post your:
O/S,
systems specks,
network setup
And a brief history before and after problem started.
Please describe when your CTD or problem hits.

Quick check list:
BF2 installed
All earlier PR versions and desktop shortcuts deleted

Full 1.41 BF2 updater
PR 8 uses TWO installers
#1 Core installed FULL ( create desktop short checked)
#2 levels(maps) installed
(Vista users need to set compatibility mode to xp and run as admin)
running game at 1024x768 res or higher, desktop the same

punk buster uninstalled with pbsvc
reboot before reinstalling punk buster files with pbsvc( if your using Vista DO NOT set compatibility to XP, run as admin ok)
run pbsvc test/get all green on test
update bunk buster files with pbsetup
open firewall for punk buster and bf2 or turn off

Go back to basics, reinstall core and get the desktop shortcut installed.

Change the language interface of your user account to English if you need to so you can follow our advice.

Right click on the shortcut, the bottom of the pop up list
Should be 'properties'.
When the window pops open you should see the 'target' box with the 'start up' string inside.
Mine looks like this:
"E:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start /AFFINITY 2 +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

Yours should look something like this:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start+modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1
Just change the '1' at the end to a '0'
to enter 'windowed' mode.
