MSN

I seem to be having some problems with MSN and my internet. For some reason I cannot connect to MSN 99% of the time. I will try and try for hours and then suddenly it will work and if I disconnect it takes forever to work again.

MSN troubleshoot tells me that my problem is at key ports.

Any ideas?

Have you let MSN troubleshoot repair the problem itself? It's possible something might be conflicting with your messenger, but I'll need more information to pinpoint it. A few times I've had an overclocking program like ATiTool cause problems with some Microsoft applications. I say just uninstall it, delete the Windows Live Messenger folder in C:\Program Files, restart, and then reinstall messenger.
