Point taken. Though it depends on what you count as a victory. In the War of 1812 there was a negotiated peace which ended the war, with Britain withdrawing. And we did help in World War I, though it was a bit later in the war.

In all games if I can play my nationality they become my favourite, regardless of how their playstyle may differ to my own.

I agree that everyone likes playing the Brits because of Basra lol I wonder if this poll would change if USMC or USARMY got some Abrams and LAVS against insurgencies. Im talking both in 1 map like Al Basra lol.
