Re: Room Clearing
Always throw a good few grenades in and never stand in the doorway where the enemy will have their
sights settled, try and get in fast this will make it hard for them to hit you if their focused on the doorway. |

Re: Room Clearing
I try throwing smoke in a room first if multiple enemys inside. Then grenades which they will unlikely see, then enter and shoot from the hip.

Re: Room Clearing
Skimmed the thread so this might have been said:
First do Motherdeer's situation on prepping the room for assault. When you are entering the room I learned from someone on these forums that you should always go to the corners. Person A takes the left corner, B takes the right. That way you wont be shooting each other and both have a nice field of fire to take down hostiles. Friendlys who are still outside can also use your doorway to shoot in to the room without you gettin in the way since you are in a corner. |

Re: Room Clearing
Put your weapon on Automatic and spray and pray on everything that moves...
I would suggest getting an Iron or Reflex sight gun. |

Re: Room Clearing
There are severals rules for survive room clearing
Lots of them if you dont know if enemy inside. But now in this situation you know, right ? - One rule is first granade after that rifle. - Dont move inside by ussual entrance, try use everything what enemy couldnt susspect. In reall fight the doors are ussualy mined, stairs are ussualy mined. Use balcony, roofs, windows if its possible (in real fight use holes from blows, use hols in roofs, por make your own hole in wall by LAW or granade). In PR use what is possible. - imagine where could you stay if you defence room. int hat corner, that, that, where are escape area ? where are stairs, pillars, boxis, tables, chairs. And your first shoot should be to this place without scooping. Learn fire without scope as long as you be able hit target at 15 m without problem. - everytime when you in this small contact switch to burst or automatic fire mod - if you have LAW (light antitank weapon) us it to clear room ! (argue - but enemy armor can came. answer - very possible you will not stay alive to that moment therefor if you can use your LAW use it) This is big mistake in PR. Use everything to cleare rooms or enemy position. You can reload weapons more offten than you think. This is SQleader responsibility ensure munition for your squad). Who say your squad cant move back to main and reload munition ! - If you dont hit enemy and you need reaload. Dont wait. Take knife and knife him. You will be surrprise how offten you will surprise enemy with it ! - Immedietly when you entrace room fire one burst to one corner. If you miss/hit make one step to side. Watch door or stairs entrance. Expect granade comming or another enemy. Still dont scope ! In room dont scope .. never ! - if you have AR ... dont move inside If you have AR to hand. tell him to fire to windows to surrpress enemy watch. Throw granade and fire throught windows if its possible. - if enemy in upstairs. call help. You dont have chance against skill player. One granade from outside one from downstairs and move up. And still surrpress fire from outside. WASTE AMMO ! you can reload, it is still better than life (ticket in PR) |

Re: Room Clearing
have a buddy cover you, chuck a nade, and more in immediatly after it explodes. if you manage to kill one or two, great. if not, everyone is now suppressed and you have the upper hand. while theyre all trying to figure out what happened, your already inside and shooting. auto or burst help.
have friendly armor in range? even better! define a number of rounds to be shot before they stop and you enter. shock and awe man, shock and awe. |

Re: Room Clearing
If you know there's guys in there throw a grenade in. Then another.
If unsure, throw another in. Then run in firing everywhere. Or... Fart into the room - guarantee it'll be clear in seconds |

Re: Room Clearing
I like spamming grenades and hip shooting, the more explosives/bullets you put out the more likely you will win. Also, if the room/building has windows, have one person cover the door while another checks for enemy through the windows.

Re: Room Clearing
I find those Beirut buildings with the mirrored stairs setup to be the easiest to clear. Have one person going up each stairs and sync your movement with voice comm.
Unfortunately CQB is limited by what we can't do in BF2 (no free-aim, leaning, bracing, fragging without exposure etc) but there's still room for tactics. All of which would make it a much easier task to clear out the bunkers on Koselsk for example. |
