Re: N. Forces knife
The "samekniv" sapmi knife is more used in field than the normal knifs we are getting distributed in the army. May not used by our forces in Afghanistan but here in Norway and by the home guard
Its at least more handy than the cheese slicer |

Re: N. Forces knife
These knifes where standard equipment when i served as a border guard up north. Their use are primary chopping up small trees etc.. for example when making a hidden observation post. The knife is given out primary to ranger/recon troops. Not sure how i should translate "jegerbataljon"
8 inch knife, custom made to the norwegian army. A very bearded friend of mine participated in one of the large NATO event's "Cold Response" He was a part of a home guard division and was standing guard at a port when two american soldiers who had been looking at him for a while came over and asked him what special forces branch he belonged to. He didnt understand anything, until they pointed at the knife. They assumed that only special forces carried those knifes and where allowed to look that "shabby". They had a good laugh, then he sold the knife to one of the guys. |

Re: N. Forces knife
Just put it this way:
Norwegian cheese slicers : Norwegian soldier Cheese: Insurgent "Set up SLICERS (bayonets)! CHARGE!" Slow and painful death to be sliced by a cheese slicer i guess... |

People don't realize that autism doesn't mean they're "stupid". Just socially inept. Like rhino... > > or in a worst case scenario... Wicca. =)- Lithium fox I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh."Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without an accordion. All you do is leave behind a lot of noisy baggage."
