Yeah it's not that hard to hit a target with dumb bombs to have to do straight dives. The long vertical line from the center of the reticle is your bomb's trajectory. The lowest point of that is where it should hit no matter the angle. If you drop just before your target is aligned to the end of that vertical line, you'll hit it. Its even easier with Russian made jets because they have a circle at the end.

This. Also, I've noticed that flying level and using the bottom of the crosshair will get the perfect spread of bombs on a FOB.
