You can also check Windows Event Viewer.

Find PRBF2 errors in Event viewer:
  1. Right-click Start button -> Run -> eventvwr.exe
  2. Windows Logs -> Application
  3. Open Action menu -> Filter current log -> XML tab -> Select checkbox "Edit query manually"
  4. Add this code:
    Code:
    <QueryList>
      <Query Id="0" Path="Application">
        <Select Path="Application">*[System[Provider[@Name='Application Error']]] and *[EventData/Data[1]='prbf2.exe']</Select>
      </Query>
    </QueryList>
  5. Select a couple of recent events -> right-click -> Copy... -> Details as text
  6. Paste text here and wrap [CODE] tags around it (switch to advanced editor to see the [#] button)
  7. After you're done, open Action menu again -> Clear filter

Exception code c0000005 is an access violation:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/shows/inside/c0000005
Quote:
An Access Violation is a type of Exception caused when an application Reads, Writes or Executes an invalid Memory Address.
That might be related to Windows' built-in exploit protection settings like Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR).

Let's try this:
Start -> Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Security -> Open Windows Security

App & browser control -> Exploit protection settings -> Program settings "tab" -> Add Program to customize -> Add C:\Path\To\PRBF2.exe

For Program settings for PRBF2.exe, try to disable "Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR)" and/or "Randomize memory allocations (Bottom-up ASLR)", and try playing the game.
