Re: PR Controls
I alternate V and B.
Same mouse as OP, mouse4 is primary weapon (3) to quickly switch fire mode. Mouse 5 is M-map |

Re: PR Controls
For ages I was an arrows player (US layout) then when lean started showing up in games. I moved to the numeric keypad for the extra keys 7 - 9 lean (Voice coms and map zoom in PR) 8-5 4-6 for movement and the other keys for weapon, crouch, prone etc. Always had trouble getting used to WASD setup.
Now for Christmas I got myself the Merc Stealth keyboard with the gamepad on the left side. I'm still getting used to it so if you see me suddenly jump out of a moving vehicle or switch to wrench in a knife fight this week that's why (or my excuse for now anyway |

Re: PR Controls
Really strange to see all those setups compared to what you've always been used to.
Here's mine. WASD - movement Left shift - sprint Caps and M - map TAB - scoreboard Left CTRL - crouch Alt - icons Z - prone C - Second gun view G - pick up R - reload E - enter Q - commo rose B - voip V - commander voip Space - jump |

Re: PR Controls
The most important key-binding changes are to set the enter vehicle key to Backspace and the weapon 3 key to the middle mouse button (clicking the wheel).
The Backspace change reduces the risk of accidentally bailing from a vehicle, and the weapon 3 change makes it a lot easier to change the rate of fire and switch back to the main weapon after, for example, using a dressing or grenade. (I picked this one up from America's Army.) |

Re: PR Controls
Screw WASD - I've been using ESDF and I just love it.
Recently I was even thinking about switching to RDFG (ESDF one key to the right) to allow me to use more keys on left of my keyboard |

Re: PR Controls
I was an arrow key user until I got my laptop, I had to move to the WASD keys, but they are modified. W is reload, Mouse2 is move fwd. Mouse 3 is alt fire, mouse 4 and 5 are weapon selectors. I am do to remap though, as I have found several of my closest keys not being used anymore and I'm hunting for some others (mostly due to changes in the game since .7 when I last mapped the keys).

Re: PR Controls
Heh, that's precisely why I have prone bound to a side mouse button. I got used to it back in Desert Combat days and have been using it that way ever since, even though I crouch more than I prone in PR.
