i managed to fix my issue by reinstalling bf2 and pr to default directories

ok, well guess what. the only way I could get this to work was completely uninstall BF2(except for profiles, screenshots). Once this is done restart your computer, then reinstall BF2 and patches....then install .0856 core, levels, and then .860 patch. It works, I tried everything else and this was the only way to get it to work and it works perfectly, of course this took a couple of hours, but it works.

I finally got .86 to work as well.

I removed ALL versons of .Net framework, uninstalled BF2 and all PR versions. Then I reinstalled BF2 and all expansions in the proper order. Then downloaded and installed the .86 core and levels files to their default locations. Both being:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2

Everything is working perfectly now...

Yes its a good idea to uninstall all versions of .NET first. Basically the 3.5 sp1 patch fixes some incompatibility bugs that there were in .NET 2.0 SP2, that I think only have to do with Vista (which comes with .NET 2.0 preinstalled)

My version starts up and u log in to your profile and then it keeps telling u to install 1.41, the funny part is that i have installed 1.41 multiply times and it keeps telling to do it ?? anyone have solution??
