Im trying to learn to make objects for PR, its frustrating.

Atm im at point where im trying to load BF2/PR textures for 3ds max 8. When i have unzipped objects_client and objects_server from BF2 and PR to same folder, and i try to make 3ds max load them just like matt.b explained in first post, the program crashes.

So i have unzipped all objects to "Battlefield 2\mods\pr\objects" and in 3ds max 8 i do the following: 'customize' from top menu --> Configure user paths ---> selecting tab called 'external files' ---> clicking button 'add' ---> browsing to 'Battlefield 2\mods\pr\objects' ---> checking the 'add subpaths'-checkbox and then clicking 'use path'-button ======> 3ds max loads some of the stuff and then crashes (application error, no specific reasons given).

It crashes too even if i select less folders+folder paths at sametime. I can add them one folder by one folder. But i still couldnt find all textures from unzipped folders for this tutorial file from the paths which the program gave to me when it told me it cant find "these and these" textures from "here and here".



Question is that is there any better ways of loading BF2 textures to 3ds max 8 so that i can use them for my objects what im gonna make and so that i can view this tutorial file with textures ?

Tutorial for entire process of setting up 3ds max 8 for making objects for PR would be needed too, i couldnt find one its been quite frustrating searching little pieces of hints how to make it happen.
Maybe even tutorial from point of installation of 3ds max to point where you have working self made object in your map.

So theres a tutorial in these files? How do we view this tutorial? I really need to build a building for my level and cant find any tutorials anywhere on creating our own static objects. I have 3dsmax and photoshop. anyone have any links to a tutorial to make buildings?
