those versions are server updates, you want Client the big one, like 1.6gb

11 hours!!! what sort of internet connection have you got, I downloaded mine in like 30 mins (8meg Broadband)

DSL..900 KbPS.....

Well, got it dled and installed now..still cant join any servers, except one...lol, well maybe after like 100 reinstalls, Ill be able to join all...

Interesting....while I still cant identify, if I have the 1.4 or 1.41 patch, so I could play PR, I can play on the vanilla BF2 servers...

well, downloading the 1.41 patch from that link now....say on my bf2/xpack that they are 1.4?? Guess, yau88hse found the solution

..update to 1.41

But still cant get it, how could I play on vanilla servers..well, there are still 1.3 servers...mostly because some smacktards still like to drop hummves on roofs and wall hack the Karkand hotel CP...

EDIT: btw, my connection is still slow....cant you put this stuff on some UK/Euro portal?
The reason it took me to dl the PR installer so long, it was because the portal was on East Coast...I wanted to download a copy from some UK portal, but file was corrupt...

nah the reason you can still play vanilla is that you had vanilla + xpac installed.
xpac patches to 1.2
loads of nilla noobs reverted back to 1.2 so that they could dolphin dive and C4 chuck again.
so you were in fact playing on 1.2 servers, not 1.4

lmao...well, took a half day to dl, but patched to 1.41 and PR servers work!
