how can i play with bots

With aidefault.ai untouched you can adjust settings while setting up local server in the menu. SO make sure you increase number of bots there ( the menu ).

If you tweak this file and add 'aiSettings.overrideMenuSettings 1' you will not be able to change anything from setup menu. You can move sliders and all but it wont have any effect.

If you want to tweak this file and add large ammount of bots, try this

I got the same exact problem, I can't spawn. Is there any way of getting around this?

What happens when you try to spawn? Did you select a spawnpoint?
