Re: [0909] BF2 Memory dll crash on loading Dragon Fly
Also having a lot of CTD problems, haven't been able to play the game because of it since 0.9.
Been getting the same "memory.dll allocate attempts failed for size" error when the loading bar reaches 100% in windowed mode ( fullscreen = no error message ). Would really like to see this fixed, reinstalled BF2 + PR and tried a crap load of other stuff, you wouldn't believe what some people offer as solutions to these weird issues. |

Re: [0909] BF2 Memory dll crash on loading Dragon Fly
Crash on Dragon Fly map. Fought on Beruit, Yamalia, and Asad Khal before the incident.
The Dragon Fly map loaded completely, clicked to spawn in -- Blue Screen Crashed the whole computer. The Dragon Fly map loaded completely, spawned in, drove a vehicle 20 meters -- Blue Screen Crashed the whole computer. Changed the video settings from 8x Anti-aliasing to 4x, High to Medium Dynamic Shadows and Light and Texture Filtering. Switched to a different server with the same map. The Dragon Fly map loaded completely, spawned in, walked 10 meters -- Blue Screen Crashed the whole computer Then successfully fought on Lashkar, Muttrah, and Fools Road maps. |

Re: [0909] BF2 Memory dll crash on loading Dragon Fly
I have the same memory.dll issue on almost every map at some point. With Lashkar it happens as soon as when verifying is done and your "Squad Placement" button is up, ctd with that error. Once with muttrah, I got in and about 2 minutes later, memory.dll error so I reloaded and worked fine. I get the ctd error sometimes when I'm loading the 2nd map. Example: Play a whole round of muttrah, then server switches maps and CTD there. I'm getting them at the most random points that it's very hard to find something in common. Sometimes I'm talking on vent while I crash, sometimes I'm not.
The weird thing is, is that it's happening on my xp 32bit and windows 7 32 bit so it isn't OS related I don't think. However, I am running 4 gb ram on 2 - 32bit systems. On xp I increased my page file (virtual memory) to more than 4-5 gigs and then I got a bluescreen caused by ATI Graphics drivers. Specs: Intel Core i5 750 (No constant clock, likes to operate around 3.2 I think) Quad core Asus Maximus iii Gene MoBo 4 GB DDR3 Ram ATI HD4850 512mb Windows 7/XP 32bit (Dual Boot, same error on both OS's) |

Re: [0909] BF2 Memory dll crash on loading Dragon Fly
I hate to say this...
But everyone who gets a memory crash - have you checked your RAM? There's been heaps of faulty DD2 & 3 sticks, even CPUs. Really sucks. |

Re: [0909] BF2 Memory dll crash on loading Dragon Fly
I went to a 64 bit version of 7 to see if it would work and so far so good. I will post updates on what I find, I'm pretty good at trouble shooting so we'll see. So far so good

Re: [0909] BF2 Memory dll crash on loading Dragon Fly
The wierd thing is that most people were fine on .87, me for one, but with 0.9 some are OK but loads have alot of 'new' problems.
I was all high except textures but on 0.9 I can't even play, and for some reason VBF CTD's now too.... |
