yes but you can change all elements to wide screen aspect ratio... say you have a 40x40 texture node that looks stretched on 1920x1080 (cause it will be scaled as 800x600), but right at 4:3 you can make the texture node at 4/3 = 1.33 so for it to look right the width is 1.33 times the height in a 16:9 format that would be 1.77. so let's say you wanna keep the same node height as the original but less stretched so the 40 for 1.33 will become around 30.

and you can also use Higher resolution textures for all of it, so it's possible to have a good HD Hud for Full_HD formats that won't be optimized for 4:3 screen but for a more newer 16:9 format.

In theory you could create separate UIs optimized for different aspect ratios have the launcher select which one to use, but this would double the amount of work needed.

Exactly, and an 16:9 aspect hud will still working in a old VGA 4:3 monitor (does it still exist?) it's just not optimized for that, as now it's not optimized for 16:9 so for present days 16:9 optimized hud seems way more reasonable.

Black is the worst. Maybe make it slightly lighter with blue hint in it to tie in with the theme of PR launcher and the manual
