Can you put a source on that? From everything i've ever read about ballistics I thought that bullets climb after they leave the barrel and fall back to the point of aim at their zero'd range.

When i was going thro both Basic Training and Inital Training we were tought that it falls then rises then falls again, if anyone can get there hands onto a f88 styer training pam you will see its in there

HangMan: BF2 Editor, it has very strict limitations memory wise, and crashes all the time. Its like a girl. Treat it with respect and take it slow and you'll get places. Rush and get ahead of yourself and it will turn around and punch you in the mouth

how is that even possible?

heres two more examples, low velocity rounds show it more . plus i couldnt find a 5.56 one.

purely scientifically speaking (with my high school level education) i can't see how its possible for it to fall , rise then fall again. mainly the first part of it falling then rising.

I think maybe he means that for a short period the bullet is below the sight (while it rises) because the barrel is below, then it rises above it, then comes down.

For example your graph. 0-60 yards its below the sight line, 60 - 100 its above and 100 + its below again.

You can counter that by pulling your mouse backwards when firing a burst.

I think the diagram was probably based on that misunderstanding though, gazz.
I thought that might've been what he meant. It's the only really rational compromise unless Australian bullets have some funky aerodynamics.
