I kind of liked Dien Duong.
Just the american main base was in a bad place being easy to camp the exit road, US asset also where inferior they should get a transport chopper there, the rounds always took to long because you would easily lose any vehicle in the narrow roads. Got some great gameplays there when vietnan was launched don't know what happened after XP. Maybe some day it might come back XP

Don't like Hill 488, first M16 rate o fire and precision are ridiculous , second don't like the cod style of game kill kill kill kELL ... and the constant camping in bushes hahah

Love Charlie Point, never got to play in 1.0 XP damn admins ... just trying to get a foot hold there is awesome, pav bay should be like that.

Agree with Dien Duong and the M16 high ROF, but camping is pretty much what the vietcong did in the real war.

Dien duong was a really good map i dont know why it was remove better then hill 488 and Ia drang

Dien Duong>All Nam maps

The mapper removed it because he thought it was not up to PR standards, perhaps it will be the new Ghost Train Hill 488 is quite fun, a remade Bi Ming with lots of INF combat... It would benefit from a Chinese layer to counter Merican' superiority on the Nam latyer.

Ghost Train would be a vietnamish map.


Why would they remove Dien Duong?
IA Drang is probably the worst.... definently isn't up to PR Std imo.

(No offense to dev who ever made it tho)



If I had to rate the Vietnam maps 1-4 or w/e it is...

1.Barracuda
Really does offer a ton of gameplay. But it is a bitch to capture airfield.
Was there any conflict/battles on island(s) during Nam'?

2.Charlies Point
VERY VERY FUN, but fustrating.
Rehaul and rethink of assets for the NVA will help dramatically.

3.Hill 488
Very Nam Feeling. The Night version is scary AF.

4.Tad Sae
Very good, I love it. Depends on flag layout though. It's pretty fun defending teh village and camps.

5.IA Drang
Definently my least fave.... Everyone likes it cause of the CAS Plane (forgot name of it:P)
I think it's just very poorly made and rushed.

It's like someone just threw a river bed that is dried up in there, added a mountain, added 2 little 'bunkers' and slapped a ton of trees and vegetation in there.


IMO, this one really doesn't represent PR Standards.

I hate Tad Sae nam with a passion, it is M2\M60 warfare with an annoying feeling. I would love if a China Layer with VN3s and CROW Humvees would come around. I wish Ia Drang would get an update, it is meh as of now..
