Re: [Vehicle] Land Rover Defender [WIP](FDF,GB)
Fixed the whole roof. Now the windows are curved and better. Also cutted down 2000 tris. What do u think?

If it isn't 1p interior model I suggest cutting tris on steering wheel. Right now it is more detailed than car wheels.

Looks pretty good but still think its pretty streched just going from memory and think you are putting too many tris into the small details and not enough into the big things like the wing mirrors and other small things like that don't need anything like as many tris as you've given them. Also remember a lot of the small details can be done though normal maps.
well that's mainly down to a lot of vehicles not having proper 1p models. The 1p steering wheel should be pretty high poly since its right in your face, 3p should be low poly. |

Yeah Like Rhino says leave the steering wheel as is - its good atm, its one of the main things, right in the players camera that will really kill any illusion of being inside a real vehicle when you have a blocky steering wheel that just looks out of place.
Whole vehicle looks a little wide maybe? Also I think for the wheels it might be best adding a bit more detail. It will quickly push your tricount up, but giving the inner wheel some geometry and can give it that real extra feel of detail. You can easily Lod it out on the second lod too. |
