Flare gun!
I think a flare gun would be a great addition to the specialist kit on the night layer. It would be used to light up the ground and the surrounding terrain.
I works great in FH2 and it would be a great way to start infantry fights/ambushs and light stuff for CAS squads |

No, I tried to find some, it's in the night map with Italians versus Brits, where brits have to destroy planes and objectives called Operation Hyacinth.

Re: Flare gun!
Not sure if the BF2 engine can really handle that kind of dynamic lighting but if it can, awesome
But instead of a "flare gun", think an illumination shot from mortars would be more realistic |

Yeah I heard illumn rounds were vastly used during the conflict. But the thing is that with flare guns you would not have to rely on a mortar squad most of the time. Would also give the specialist kit a use, because you don't really need ropes on this map | |

Re: Flare gun!
If you can find a source to suggest flare guns where/are used for this purpose, then I might consider it. Only use I see for a flare gun might be a pilot for CASEVAC? Flares don't generally illuminate the surrounding area...
And having to rely on mortars for an illumination shot to me doesn't sound like a bad thing? |
