Cool Introduction to the "PR in 60 seconds" project

I'm spearheading this ongoing project to help promote PR:BF2 with short and intense gameplay videos that show the best the game has to offer. They are easily digestible videos that everybody can watch, from the hardcore PR player to the casual interested gamer.

I will be making highlight posts that get posted to the launcher every so often with a compilation of videos that our community of YouTubers (big and small) have shared.

These videos are being curated by me and I invited the more active YouTubers to make their first episodes.

Check out the playlist with all "Project Reality in 60 seconds" episodes:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...OrRQK0yfYRvIIE

For now the playlist is on my channel, but I'm looking into moving it to the official PR's YouTube channel as it's becoming a bigger community project.

At this point we are all using the same song, but I already talked to some of our PR composers to get other 60 seconds songs for added variety.

Guidelines for a good episode
  • Use scenes from a single round, to keep the same context.
  • Use recordings in first person, you playing the game with comms and everything.
  • Try to show the least amount of the HUD (map, comm rose, etc).
  • Use a fast transition between clips for quick cuts.
  • Sometimes is better for the audio to bleed to the next clip so it doesn't end abruptly.
  • It shouldn't be just a frag video, showing teamwork is what PR is about.
  • Showing other people shooting and group movement can look interesting (see episode #1).
  • Showing combined arms is good, as it's something unique to PR as well (see episode #2).
  • Showing clear communication is highly encouraged (see episode #3).
  • Ending on a slow fade to black looks okay if you don't have a cool ending and gives the idea of continuity.

Players involved in the project

These are the players that confirmed my invitation. Others were invited but are yet to give me a response.

Give them some support by subscribing to their channels, so they make more PR video content.

If you want to join the fun and be challenged to make interesting 60 seconds videos of PR gameplay, check the requirements bellow and send me a private message and I will consider your request.

Requirements to join the group
  1. Follow my guidance (I will curate all videos, some might be asked to be improved or re-edited).
  2. Create quality recordings (1080p with good audio).
  3. Ability to upload a custom thumbnail to your YouTube video (check this article to learn how).
  4. Follow our standards for title and description.
  5. Use the given thumbnail, without other additions.
  6. Show only raw PR gameplay in first person (no comments, intros, outros, etc).

I think this could be a nice project for our community and something easy to share with your friends to show what Project Reality is all about.

I really like this idea, and am already a fan of the episodes you've already put out. The 60 second videos are a great format for helping newcomers understand the game quickly and efficiently. I wish you luck in getting more people on board!

Superb idea I want in because it's a quick and good way to promote but also it's easier for me to upload too since my internet is not optimal. If possible I want to join after 1.3 releases. Also how do we acquire youtube thumbnails?
