Default Functional difference between the M2 and DSHK .50 Cals?

Other than the ammo count what difference performance wise is their between the two .50 cal machine guns?

I always find myself using the M2 because it has more reloads.

DSHK has 50 rounds more than M2 and it does not require reloading as often as M2. However, it also has twice as much min devation. Frontliner may be able to say how much it actually matters (perhaps such a difference is practically meaningless most of the time).
They also use different tracers (green for DSHK and red for M2).

Other differences are relatively insignificant.

Tracers I knew about. But 50 more rounds for the DSHK really? I could never tell. I always thought the dshk must've had a damage or veolcity or armor piercing buff to make up for it's lack of reloads. I also much prefer the M2's iron sights over the dshk's. The ladder gets in the way.

P.S. Will we ever get truly zeroable iron sights on infantry small arms like rifles and machine guns ala grenade and rocket launchers?

Infantry small arms do not have bullet drop, zeroing them would be pointlessly redundant

I would like a comment on this as well...

That would be interesting on any ranged weapons, such as Sniper rifles, where the weapons deal with range.

Making the effectiveness is up to the player, not for standard rifles in kits, but for special request kits like Sniper or AT.

As far as Sniper kits, it would make Spotters more valuable.

They do.

I have modified them myself to try to create a trajectory that is close to real life ballistics for specific cartridges.

Yeah your personal modification doesn't make them have realistic trajectory for everyone. Saying 'they do' is terrible phrasing, just say 'they can'.
