[Weapon] Flak 18 (8.8 cm) [WIP](WW2)
Hi guys! I started this yesterday when AD said he needed a flak 88 for PN. Im using max 2012, but I've been told that wont be much of an issue. Here's what I've got right now, I'm using references from FH2, CoH, as well as random internet pics.
Tell me what you think, this will be my first model done outside of the class room And yes, it's very WIP atm, but I hope to have it done soonish this week EDIT: Due to an error during upload, I have deleted and reuploaded the Flak. Not sure what happened or why. Here is the new p3d addres: http://p3d.in/aX3Yj |

Spush, you sir are amazing
And yea, I know a lot of their things are a little off, so I'll focus on using pics and a FH2 photo that AD provided me |

Re: [WIP] Flak 88
Why make a Flak 18 instead of a Flak 36? The 36 would offer flexibility in the future if PN ever wanted to make towable Flak guns.

Re: [WIP] Flak 88
I dont think it would be too hard to convert it from one to the other, just have to modify it and add the wheels to the front and back and take off the side supports. On this atm im planning on making one without the shield and then also adding the shield on so we have some variety

TL;DR Don't think there's anyone was used more than the other. However I think the grey one without shield is the most badass. | |

Re: [WIP] Flak 88
You would find Flak 18s without shields mostly in North Africa, because that was around the time they were used as AT guns. Also, no shield made it lighter and easy to tow.
But as Alex stated above, most without shields are AA, most with are AT, but the Flak 18 was originally an AA gun. |
