Default Game wont start after pressing button "Play"(win11)
After clicking "Play" the game crashes, nothing helps, reinstallation does not help

Try to install DirectX End-User Runtime (DirectX Redist) from Microsoft. You probably need .Net 4.7.2 Runtime and some older (year 200x) 32-bit/x86 VisualC++ Redistributable packages as well.

I see something about fci there, you might wanna uninstall any third party antivirus on your laptop.

It did not help, I uninstalled Malwarebytes antivirus, tried to enter the game and all the same, restarted the laptop and all the same thing. At the bottom it says Process cannot access the file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\vars\fci", because this file is used by another process.

After a bit of debugging I'm starting to think that the "Unable to delete fci" message is not related to the crash. That's because PRLauncher.exe attempts to delete the file (or its directory) AFTER the game (prbf2.exe) has exited. Thus at the time the error is generated, the game has already crashed.
