[help] UVW unwrap lagging on particular model

I'm working on a boat and when I go into the UVW unwrap and try moving things around it lags for a few seconds. I don't get this issue on any other model, I tried exporting and reimporting it still did it, I also tried exporting and reimporting to 3ds 9 and it still did it.
The model is only like 6k or something.

Any assistance you can render me would be very appriciated because I've been working on this model for a while and I'm almost done the mesh.

I have always had this with max9 and zooming wayyyy into the uvw edit window. I think it might be fixed in later versions but I am not sure. Only way around it is to stay more zoomed out is what I have found.

Yeah, zooming in way far will lag it out. Try working on a larger scale (like at least the size of the target box) and see if that helps, if you're not doing that already.

Yeah, I haven't a clue then... What kind of hardware and OS are you using?

If your getting errors like that chances are there is some kind of underlying issue with your model. Try turning your model into an editable poly again, that might help but also look about for errors like duplicated faces etc.

I once had this problem and i'm not sure if this solved it or it just solved itself but I just spammed the reset xform button a few times and it worked.

I don't know why but if you reset the xform 3 times it fixes some baking problems as well.

Give it a shot.
