Strange bug

Hello all
Just reinstalled PR on new PC.


Everything is fine.
EXCEPT

Whenever I go prone, the weapon will switch to phosphor grenades?
Same when I stand up after going prone???

It works fine on BF2, just does this in PR?

Have reset controls to no avail.

Is this a known bug?
Have searched forums but can find nothing like this.

never heard of issue for me...
imho phosporous is key 9 which is not used in regular BF2 afaik so you will not see this effect because there is nothing to switch to on that slot

did u maybe mod something/fiddle with files?!

if u are using something like the G15 keyboard you should check your bindings
it might also be helpful to know which key you are using for prone

Oddly enough it also happens if I have the pilot kit?
And we know that pilots dont have Phosphor grenades?

I do have a G15 k/b but dont use any bindings.

What I do use is an X-BOX PC controller, I have checked it's set up and it's all ok....reinstalled it and started clean several times.

I use the left joystick to go prone...by pressing down on it.
It worked fine before I had to reinstall everything.

It's not major, but when the need to go prone arises, it is normally when under fire.
No good dropping to the deck to return fire and you end up holding a phosphor grenade!


Well....if it's not a bug.... then I will have to investigate further

Try creating another account and see if that resets the controls.

All fixed.

Reinstalled the software that controls the Xbox controller ingame.

BTW.........for any of you that suck at using keyboards for gaming.....as badly as I do.


Get this software: Add gamepad / joystick support to any game - Pinnacle Game Profiler

It's a nifty program that enables you to use an XBox controller with ANY game.

The site has loads of prebuilt game profiles you can download.
And if you aint happy with their profile, you can tweak your own to suit you.
