Re: VOIP not working
If you go to to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 and then BF2VoiceSetup, does it respond to your mic?
Also, in audio options in the main menu, try lowering "microphone threshold" to 0. |

Re: VOIP not working
what do you mean by mute? is the mute check box ticked or is the lever lowered fully?
there are programs trying to "help" you with your mic ... they fiddle with the sound setting, try to close those / kill their process (eg: netmeeting, skype) |

Re: VOIP not working
No i never said anything about mute, just it disables itself. When i first start up my game it says its on and up to 100%, when i join a game it turns off as in the voip enable box is unchecked.....

Re: VOIP not working
Does it do it for both headphone jack and USB headsets?

Re: VOIP not working
Hi=]
After perusing through every other "0.86 VOIP problems" thread here, there seems to be two reasons for this problem. 1) You are using an USB soundcard, and BF2/windows doesn't detect a mic, and 2) there is a bug(of which cause is not known) in 0.86 that causes the VOIP option to be disabled once you enable it and save your choices. I am experiencing problem number one, as I use a stand-alone USB DAC(aka a USB soundcard), and currently do not have a USB mic to complete the audio setup for PR gaming. I was wondering, is there any way to "trick" bf2/PR into thinking that I have a mic hooked up to my computer? Thank you for your help and time!! |

Re: VOIP not working
Ok I fixed this issue out by myself what you need to do is go to Start>Run> DXDIAG Then switch to the Sound tab and turn your accelerator to Basic!
