New Build Impressions
I am finally going to hunker down and upgrade my hunk of junk and was wondering if anyone with a similar build was having problems with 1.0. This build won't blow minds but compared to my rig, its a NASA supercomputer.
Processor:AMD FX-4130 3.8Ghz Quad-Core (might go with a slightly slower 6 core, not sure) Motherboard:ASRock 970 EXTREME4 ATX AM3+ Video Card:HIS Radeon HD 7770 1GB Video Card Ram:Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (starting with one thing of ram until I can earn more money) HDD:Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive My current case and psu is more than enough. Grand total=400 U.S dollars |

Re: New Build Impressions
Swell!
As you said, no mind has been blown =) but this is still way better than my rig and I run 1.0 okayish, with medium-high on 1920x1200 so I have to assume this would suffice! Regarding the CPU: BF2, therefore PR does not support multicores. So if you primarily get this for playing PR, a faster CPU is always better. |

I also suggest buying a 212 Hyper Evo CPU cooler so you can OC that FX CPU. Costs $22 after rebate when you find it on sale. not on sale this week at microcenter, but for reference: http://www.microcenter.com/product/3...sal_CPU_Cooler | |

Re: New Build Impressions
Keep an eye on newegg's rebate center. you can find some good savings there(as long as you don't mind a bit of work processing the rebates).
