I can't fly outside of map with jet, even if its on my side of the map. This can't work especially when these jets cover soo much ground in so little time. If we're going to have a timer make sure it detects alt, as a tornado flying above 4k shouldn't be affected by this when the view distance caps at like 1km.

What do you mean? You should be able to fly without any limits anywhere outside the map that's not enemy DOD, like in the image above

I'll get the tracker for it whenever the trackers recover from today's DDOS, but It occurred Outside of the South side of the map. Kind of ridiculous since jets are soo quick and we're given such a limited 4km space to fight within. I think that DOD warning should occur below a specific altitude for jets. maybe 3k or 2.5k.

You're not supposed to be taking damage outside the map, only around enemy main.

I'm seeing tracker from HOG on release day and jets are fine outside? https://i.imgur.com/7C4QLfp.png

Last few minutes of this tracker, you can see the tornado fly outside map and take damage.
here is also an image of it being damaged.

I see the problem.

Untick clamp vehicles to map in tracker. The DOD playing field for jets is 12km. That jet was... a bit far away.

Its intended. Why would 12km not be enough?

The flyable area isn't infinite like Falklands, its 12x12km (+/-6k from map center).

This incident was unintentional however, might not occur that often with different fighting techniques.
Is the only on Silent Eagle? Why should there be a limit considering how fast these jets are at higher altitudes, Isn't it possible to make that DOD altitude specific?

I don't fly assets normally as a rule, unless its emergency trans use.

I like this freeing up space needlessly used up on a map for a unrealistic airfield just because you need an air base, but is in the DoD so it is not in play at all. Like on Al Basarah for one.
