WILL NOT START

Whenever i start the game, the BATTLEFIELD 2 thing comes up, the screen goes black, and then a message popps up saying, FAILED TO LOAD AFFECT: StaticMesh.fx . Can Anyone help me???

Welcome to the forums, this section is for reporting in game bugs such as things wrong with the mod.

There is a help section for PR specific problems.

Now with that said have you

Installed bf2

installed the 1.41 patch for bf2

installed PR core

installed PR maps.

If you have done all that in order tell me your system specs.

umm yeah i have and im running it on an Alienware Area51 Pro gaming computer, it should probably work

Well try this

"This guide was NOT made by me, so i take no credits for it.

If you get this error when your entering PR.Exe " Shaders was not found blablabla StaticMesh.fx"

Then do the following stepps:

1. Go to EA Games/Battlefield2/mods/bf2 (Or whatever directory you have, but note that you must get inside mods/bf2)

2. Scroll down and you will see a folder named "Shaders_Client" Open up that folder and there will be allot of diffrent files, COPY ALL OF THEM! and then past them in the folder named "Shaders" you can find that folder in Battlefield2/mods/Bf2/Shaders, and once you pasted all off the files, then your done and ready for some serious gaming

(Once i said, Credits does NOT go to me.)
(This method is working for me, and should for everyone else aswell)"

If this doesn't work completely uninstall bf2 and reinstall it freshly patch it and install PR again.
