Exclamation *** BIS BETA PATCH REQUIRED FOR PR ARMA2 ***

All

BIS recently improved in-game VON in their beta patch #95724.

A consequence of this is that players using an earlier beta (or just on the base 1.62 patch) will be unable to communicate with those on patch 95724 or later. Clearly, this has a negative effect on gameplay.

In order to ensure all players can communicate using in-game VON, servers will be enforcing the use of at least beta 95724.

Therefore, all players should ensure they are running PR ARMA2 using beta 95724 or later. In fact, we strongly recommend using the latest beta patch.

Beta patches can be found here.

In order to run PR ARMA2 with a beta patch, please follow the following steps:

  • Locate your Project Reality ARMA2 v0.15 BETA shortcut
  • Right-click on the shortcut and choose Properties
  • Click in the Target box, and press the End key to move to the end of the line
  • Press Space, then type -beta
  • Click OK

I've made a little video, if you can't follow the instructions above, but it's crappy quality ...

After modifying the shortcut, when you next launch PR ARMA2, hover your mouse over the dogtags in the top left corner of the main screen. The version information will be displayed. The top line shows the ARMA2 version (e.g. 1.62.98866). The 98866 is the beta patch.

IMPORTANT: Please also ensure you're using the latest PRAA.EXE, which we released when BIS patch 1.62 came out. Link.
