Default Big difference in FPS after 1.4 (Various maps)

So. I got back into playing some PR after ARMA 3 has gone downhill... (Been playing PR since 0.97 and ran well on a Core 2 Quad Q9550 and GTX 260).In 1.3 I have noticed i'm not getting the best fps for my rig at around 24-47 on 100 player servers. Note this were on various maps such as Gaza,Fallujah,Bijar etc...

After the 1.4 update a saw a massive increase on the overhauled maps which I found strange since they were looking more 'taxing' than before such as Gaza. There a get a stable 50+ with 100 players on it, but on Bamyan it can drop all the way down to 14. I'm not sure what the hell is causing this problem and I find it very strange since I play taxing games like Witcher 3, BF4, Project CARS, Arma 3 etc... fine.

Here are my specs:

CPU: AMD FX 6300
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X
MOBO: MSI 970 Gaming
RAM: 8GB Crucial Ballistix
HDD: 1TB (no ssd)

Ty in advance

EDIT: Just done a solo fly over Al Basrah with heli and fps drops to 38. CPU usage peaks at 55% on Core 1 and 10% on others. 30% GPU usage

Try alt tabbing and opening the task manager, right clicking pr.exe and setting the Affinity to a single core only, if it isn't like that already. That might help, but not sure.

As far as I know all the games you mentioned are more heavy on the GPU than the CPU (except for Arma I guess). PR barely uses your GPU, so it's all about single-thread performance from your processor.

According to this list, your 6300 is way below say the i5 4690 and other popular CPUs. Your first step to improving your framerate would be getting a new CPU.

I replaced my 770 with a 1070 not too long ago, and don't think I noticed a difference in framerate at all. The difference after overclocking my CPU from 3.5 to 4.5 was significant, at least in comparison to the GPU upgrade.
